SOARS Steering Committee
The steering committee consists of SOARS alumni and leading scientists and administrators from throughout UCAR and partnering organizations such as CIRES.
The committee has four main functions:
- To review student applications and recommend candidates to the SOARS program director
- To suggest research topics, recruit scientists to volunteer as research mentors, and advise the program director on pairing of protégés and science mentors.
- Monitor evaluation results and help plan necessary changes
- Represent SOARS within the broader geoscience community.
