Since 1996, 152 proteges have participated in SOARS. The following statistics are as of February 2013.
Protégés achieve academic success and participate in the workforce
- 20 earned their PhD in Science or Engineering
- 24 currently in PhD graduate programs
- 64 earned their MS in Science or Engineering
- 21 currently in MS graduate programs
- 129 have earned undergraduate degrees in Science or Engineering
- 6 are presently undergraduates
Protégés contribute to science
- 111 oral presentations or panel participants at national or regional conferences
- 332 posters presented at national or regional conferences
- 20 refereed, protégé co-authored published papers from SOARS research
